That means it's tag league tonight! Where is it this week, you ask? The schedule says that Thursdays with "even" dates are at The Fox, and "odd" dates are at MHP. Today is the 28th, which is even so I guess that means we will be at The Fox tonight; meet at 5:45pm and start at 6.
Looks like there might be some rain in the forecast but don't let that stop you. Come on out and gain some points on Roy Carter, who happens to be the current Tag League Point Leader.

May 7th is only two Saturday's away and I only see 12 people registered. I know that many wait until the last minute to register but I urge you to get yourself registered now if you plan to attend; it greatly helps in the planning for the event. For more info on the tournament, check out the original post or the event page on Facebook.
All of the Tag League results for the past week and a half have been acquired from reliable sources. Below is the individual results from each tag round.
C'mon out to MHP this afternoon for a tag series round. Meet at 1:15pm and start at 1:30. It's not too late to join the club and join in on the fun.
Also, now that Courtney is back from his backpacking trip, he is trying to track down the results of the all the tag series rounds since he has been away so that the results and point standings can be updated. Stay tuned. This week's Thursday round will be at the Kiwanis Course. Meet at 5:45pm. There are rumors that the legendary Roy Carter will make his first weekday appearance.
These Tag League Rounds are just casual rounds for people of all ages and skill levels. Come on out to Montgomery Hall Park; we meet at the practice basket at 1:15pm and tee off at 1:30. Just a reminder that if you haven't joined the club yet, it is only $10 for 2016.
Good evening everyone. Some of you already know but for those that don't, Courtney and his wife are leaving tomorrow (Friday) for a week to go on a 77 mile backpacking trip. Why am I posting this? Well, Courtney(myself) is the one that maintains the website and posts these blog messages and therefore will be unable to do so for the next week. I do have scheduled posts that will go out on Sunday and Thursday as reminders for the Tag League rounds but any other news, updates, results, etc will be posted once I return. FYI - on our way to where we will be backpacking, I will be stopping in to play the Harmon Hills Disc Golf Course in Falls Branch, TN which I hear is EPIC!
Don't forget that the tag league is at The Fox course tonight since today is the 14th and we play The Fox on EVEN dates and Kiwanis on ODD dates. We will be playing through the 9 hole course twice to make an 18-hole round. The #1 tag will be in play so make sure you come on out to take down Faunce. At 5:45, we will be meeting at the lower parking lot near the pavilion at Coyner Springs Park in Waynesboro. If you are unsure how to get there, check out the info on the course info page.
Club members Jonathan Britts and Courtney Biel played in the Battle in the Blue Ridge tournament held at Walnut Creek Park near Charlottesville this past weekend. It was a 2-day, 3 round tournament, with each round being a different layout. Saturday's weather proved to be challenging with 10-20 mph winds with gusts up to 40 mph.
Britts finished in a 3-way tie for 8th place out of 17 in the Intermediate division while Biel finished in a 3-way tie for 10th place out of 22 in the Advanced division. Both finished well enough in their respective divisions to receive a small payout. To view the complete results go to the PDGA tournament page. The following picture was the BIG TALK of the weekend... This was the result of a putt from Courtney from about 18 feet; it hit dead center chains, bounced back onto the rim of the cage, and slid off the side of the basket before coming to rest as you see here in the picture below. In Sunday's Tag League round, Roy dominated the back 9 of the Rorange layout to win by two. Final scores were Roy 68(+4), Cliff 70(+6), Steve 75(+11), Todd 76(+12), Richard 83(+19). When the winner was asked what the most memorable part of the round was, Roy responded with, "Buddy and Logan [his dogs] ate some grass." With Roy's win on Sunday, that also puts him in a tie for the lead with Chris Faunce for overall Tag Series points. Here are the overall standings:
